Hello Flu Goodbye Flu

ust spent the last week getting over the flu.

Thankfully the minions were helpful enough making stew and running errands to keep the HQ running smoothly. We’ll be releasing some new badges next week too once we’ve taken their runway pictures. Speaking of pictures, found a whole pile from when we visited the National Museum in Dublin over the summer. I’ll make sure to post a few in the next couple of weeks both here and on the Facebook page.

Let’s hope there’s no more sneezy flu symptoms for ages.
As they say in Japan, only idiots get summer colds.

ACHOO!

Finally Settled

We’ve settled into the new HQ and it was a scary few days without internet. It involved a little bit of café hopping here and there but thank Jebus that we’re finally back online. We had a few orders too to keep us good and we’ll post pics next week.

Also, we’ll be releasing new products and, yup, the newsletter early next week so keep tabs on us folks!

We’re Moving!

We’ve been a little bit quiet online lately. We’re moving. Yup. The Spike Badges HQ is upping sticks and waddling down to Cork. The entry passports into PROC are all prepped and ready to go. Everything will be up in the air a little bit as the minions scamper around the place. This time next week we’ll be at the usual battlestations again.

Adventures!

Woo!

The last couple of weeks have been super hectic at the Spike Badges HQ. We attended our first roller derby bout in Greystones between the East Coast Cyclones and the Waterford Viqueens. It was an absolute nailbiter of a bout and the Viqueens turned the odds in their favour in the last five minutes. All of the minions became roller derby converts.

Our second recent adventure was being invited to participate in Daintree Wedding Hub’s Pop-up Evening. After an initial delay with zipping in and out of taxi’s, we finally made it to Camden Street in one piece. It was lovely to meet loads of people behind Daintree and the folks behind Swannie’s Shop and Table Top Designs.

And of course, this coming Thursday, the 8th of August we’ll be at the final Temple Bar Night Market. Since the evenings have gotten a little darker, it all kicks off at 5pm and finishes up at 9pm. Hope to see you there!

Fabric Wedding Badges and Daintree Wedding Hub

Hello!

We’re very excited to say that we’ve just launched our new range of fabric wedding badges. These are unique wedding favours and they start at €21.99.

After seeing us featured in Confetti magazine, the folks over in Daintree Wedding Hub invited us to exhibit at their first Fab Wedding Hub pop-up shop. It’s on from 5.30-8pm this evening and we’ll have a whole pile of our wedding badges to exhibit. We’ll have samples available to anyone who would like them too.

Express and Design Service

At the Spike Badges HQ, we’re excited to announce two new services just for you.

The first is our Express Service which means now if you need your custom badges lickety-split, your order will get priority in the queue. You’ll be number one! You can pick this option on the drop-down menu for each custom badge listing. Sweet, eh?

The second is our new design service. We’ve have lots of experience making badges, thousands of badges in fact. When we get designs for custom badges, we normally advise our clients of any little changes to make their design pop. Sometimes, we come across designs that need just a little bit more tweaking than normal. This service is for when designs take an extra bit of time to get perfect

Flower Moon Studio and Mad Hatter’s Kitchen

We picked a snapshot of two custom orders this week. Some lovely one-inch button badges with beautiful fine details for Flower Moon Studio. The other batch was commissioned by the folks running  the Mad Hatters Music Festival in Caunay, France. They were simply lovely and we had a great time working on them.
