This coming Saturday, July 27th, we’re going to have a stall at the roller derby match between the East Coast Cyclones and Waterford Viqueens LINK at the Greystones Shoreline LINK We’re so pleased to be invited to this event and we’ll have a few new roller derby designs to go along with them.

We’ve also been invited to participate in the Daintree’s Wedding Hub on  Thursday August the 1st. We *may* also have a new range of badges available too but more on that next week…

Dublin Mini Maker Faire

We love crafts and tech. It seemed like perfect sense to sponsor a whole pile of badges for the folks working hard prepping for the Dublin Mini Maker Faire. It’s being held this Saturday, 27th July at the Science Gallery and the Trinity Physics Lawn. It’s a day of seeing how makers work and if you’re lucky you might get a go too! They’ll be a mobile micro smart farm, a metal forge, a 3D printing group and my personal fave the Stitch’n’Glitch. Looks like it’ll be an action-packed day of fun!

Sage and The First 45 Badges

We’ve been super busy over the last week or so. I managed to grab some quick snaps of badges we made recently for Sage Ireland LINK and Sine FM’s The First 45 LINK.

Sage are an international company that specialise in Accounting and Payroll software for businesses. They were celebrating the second birthday anniversary of SageOne in the Irish market.

The folks from Sine FM’s The First 45 got badges off of us too. Their radio show is on every Friday evening and specialises alternative and unsigned artists. Surprisingly, An Post’s estimation calculator was right and he got them within 3 working days.

The July Temple Bar Night Market

We’re still in recovery from last night’s Temple Bar Night Market. The hot weather brought loads of people down into Temple Bar and there was a great buzz and atmosphere. It did turn a bit chilly around 9pm and we were all wishing for cardigans and jackets.

A big Thank You to everybody called down to see us too. Some Twitter friends swung by and grabbed themselves some lovely badges which were exclusive to the market. Don’t worry though, we’ll be releasing them early next week.

The team over in Temple Bar Company deserve a huge kudos for putting on the event. No doubt this event took months of planning and issues for them but it was a great success.

We’re hoping to be at the final Night Market on August 8th so watch this space!

Dot Conf Badges

A few weeks ago, we were contacted to make some lovely button badges for the Dot Conf taking place this Friday at the National College of Ireland. The badges turned out really well and are super cute too. The Dot Conf is four years old and tagged as a teddy bears picnic but with internet folk instead of bears. Hey, we’re all for picnics here.

We’ll be popping along this Friday and we’ll see you there!

A Visit to the National Print Museum

I’m a big lover of type. Serif; sans-serif; kerning, everything and anything. I’d been promising to visit the Ireland’s National Print Museum LINK or a long time and I finally got around to it this week. I had a bit of a wander trying to find Garrison Chapel in Beggar’s Bush Barracks and it was tucked away in a corner.

They’ve over a half-dozen presses, all reconditioned and in perfect working order. The sheer size of these machines is something to behold. The Shaw Pen ruling Machine is simply a goliath. Who thought pen ruling used to be so difficult? There’s a couple of pics below, but there’s an album on Facebook LINK.
